Former captain, senior batsman of Karachi Kings Shahid Afridi will not be playing for at least ten days after reports revealed swelling in his knee. On Friday Afridi was not included in Karachi Kings XI match against Multan Sultans however, the match did not take place due to rain and a wet outfield.

Sources confirmed that after the tests doctors have advised him to rest for at least ten days, which means Afridi is likely to miss the next two to three matches for Karachi Kings against Islamabad United on Sunday, Quetta Gladiators on Thursday and against Multan Sultans on next Saturday.

Earlier today, Ostentatious all-rounder, Afridi shared on twitter saying he was getting MRI done on his knee and apologized to his fans and asked them to pray for him. He claimed to join the game soon InshAllah.

Doctors while sharing details of his reports stated that that he has swelling in his knee. It was further revealed by the doctors that he was feeling the pain for last three-four days and even played the last match after taking pain-killers. On the recommendation of the doctors Afridi will rest for a week.

As per PSL Schedule, Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans will be in the field today’s playing their first match at the Sharjah Cricket Ground. Quetta have won two and lost two matches so far this season. They lost their first match to Karachi Kings but came on winning track by beating Lahore Qalandars. They defeated Islamabad United but lost to Peshawar Zalmi. Sports experts claim that they have plenty of positives.

Multan Sultans have won two, lost one and one got draw due to rain. They beat Peshawar Zalmi in their first match and Lahore Qalandars in their second match. They lost their third match to Islamabad United. Their Captain Tom Moody relies on Imran Tahir as he has proven to be their go-to man.

The match will begin at 5:00 pm today.
