Special anti-polio campaign from August 7 to August 11 in RWP
Decision has been taken to launch Special Anti-polio campaign in Rawalpindi from August 7 to August 11.
According to media reports Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority Dr Fiaz Butt said that all preparations have been made completed to run this campaign.
He said directives have been issued to make this campaign successful and effective and secretaries and Patwaris of respective union councils will now be included in the campaign.
During previous anti-polio campaign several children remained deprived of polio drops due to summer vacations in schools and these children would now be covered under this special campaign.
Apart from displaying Banners, Posters on prominent locations, announcements will be made through Mosques besides engaging social media mobilisers in the campaign.
Teams have been directed to prepare data of those migrated from high risk areas to Rawalpindi and were not administered polio drops for any reason and those who had refused to get administer polio drops to their children.
CEO anti-polio campaign said that probably 8, 29,000 children will be administered polio drops under this special campaign and fool proof security measures are being carried out by Punjab government for polio teams.
