PPP serves notice to its KP leader over rallying for Mashal’s ‘murderers’:\u00a0The Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) issued on Wednesday a show-cause notice to its leader Ikramullah Shahid, a former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly deputy speaker, for participating in a rally demanding the release of the suspects held for student Mashal Khan\u2019s brutal lynching.
\n\u201cIt has been brought to the knowledge of this office that following the brutal murder of Mashal Khan at Mardan University, you have participated in a rally held in favour of this heinous crime,\u201d read a letter signed by PPP K-P chapter\u2019s general secretary, Faisal Kundi.
\n\u201cAs you are well aware, your act is in direct violation of party\u2019s discipline. You are therefore given 7 days to respond to this notice and clarify your position,\u201d it further stated.<\/p>\n
