A clear sky and healthy environment, commitment of government: Zahid Hamid:\u00a0Zahid Hamid the Minister for Climate Change has said today\u00a0that the government was very much serious to tackle challenges related to climate change and to ensure cleaner air, blue sky and healthy environment for future generation.<\/p>\n

In response to a Calling Attention Notice regarding the report of World Health Organization about the status of air pollution in Pakistan, the minister has said that a number of initiatives had been taken by the incumbent government during the past one year to counter issues related to climate change.<\/p>\n

Mr Hamid further said that Pakistan was amongst a handful countries of the world which had passed legislation \u201cthe Pakistan Climate Change Act<\/em>\u201d in order to overcome climate and environment related issues.<\/p>\n

He further said that the Pakistan Climate Change council had been formed while 2030 agenda was declared a national agenda which asked for cleaner environment.
\nFurthermore Council of Common Interest CCI had passed the National Forest Policy and Green Pakistan Program had also been started by the government said Zahid Hamid.<\/p>\n
