Tony Awards will be aired live from Radio City Music Hall on the 10th<\/sup> of June at 8 p.m. on CBS in NewYork while the Tony Awards nominations will be announced live on May 1st<\/sup> by Smash vets current Waitress star Katharine McPhee and Leslie Odom, Jr.<\/p>\n Earlier Tony Awards were hosted by Kevin Spacey (2017), James Corden (2016), Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming (2015), Hugh Jackman (2014) Neil Patrick Harris (2011\u20132013) and Sean Hayes (2010).<\/p>\n Bareilles said in a statement \u201cThe Theater has completely transformed my life in every way possible”. It will be with all the love and respect in the world for the room we’re lucky enough to be in.”<\/p>\n Tony Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n The Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Broadway Theater, more commonly known as the Tony Award, recognizes excellence in live Broadway theater. The awards are presented by the American Theater Wing and The Broadway League at an annual ceremony in New York City.<\/p>\n The award is named after Antoinette Perry, nicknamed Tony, an actress, director, producer and co-founder of the American Theatre Wing, who died in 1946.<\/p>\n Tony-nominated Broadway debuts, Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban will host the 72nd<\/sup> Annual Tony Awards this year in June.
