Schwarzenegger Recovery From Heart Surgery: Schwarzenegger is widely known as the hard man of offbeat movies such as the “Terminator” and “Conan the Barbarian’.
Former California governor and the Hollywood film star and Arnold Schwarzenegger went under a open heart surgery at Cedars-Sinai hospital to replace an aging valve. US media sources have shared that Schwarzenegger’s surgery was successful and that 70 years old Schwarzenegger is in steady condition.
Schwarzenegger served two terms as California governor from 2003 to 2011 before returning to acting in The Expendables.
Schwarzenegger began weight training at the age of 15. He won the Mr. Universe title at age 20 and went on to win the Mr. Olympia contest seven times, remaining a prominent presence in bodybuilding and writing many books and articles on the sport. The Arnold Sports Festival, considered one of the best professional bodybuilding competitions in recent years, is named after him. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time as well as that sport’s most charismatic ambassador.
Schwarzenegger helped to found the Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy, which is a part of the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California. The Institute’s mission is let leaders and people over political parties interest and work together to find the best ideas and solutions to benefit the people they serve improving public policy and public debate in finding solutions to the serious challenges. Schwarzenegger serves as chairman of the Institute.
In May last year he was honored for his environmental work in France with the “Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur”, the country’s most prestigious medal.
“Choosing to undergo open-heart surgery when I never felt sick was the hardest decision I’ve ever made,” Schwarzenegger said
Schwarzenegger is in stable condition after undergoing emergency open-heart surgery, his spokesman Daniel Ketchell confirmed via Twitter Friday afternoon. This is his fourth heart surgery.
