“Tzaneen Care Group” together with “Oasis Water” did extensive marketing through social media platforms. As a result of their marketing strategy they were donated ready-made 5 liter bottles of water. People would have to stand in a queue at public water pipes to collect 25 liter rations if “Day Zero” had arrived. Due to the generous donation the day got cancelled but the situation remains terrible. It has been informed to all residents to save water possibly every where.

The Donation Process

Volunteers from the community came together to label, fill and wrap the bottles at Oasis Water. Every week, “At-Pet Trading” collected each week’s prepared bottles and stored them at their storeroom. “Gift of the Givers” will collect the water from “At-Pet Trading” by the end of March and would distribute throughout the Cape.

The remaining monetary contributions will be donated to the Gift of the Givers Organization to continue with the cause.
