Indian forces Killed 3 In Occupied Kashmir: Indian troops have martyred three civilians including a girl and injured several others in Occupied Kashmir, Kashmir Media Service reported.
According to reports, the Indian forces opened fire on peaceful protesters in Kulgam district. Earlier in the day, hundreds of people took to the streets after Indian forces launched a cordon and search operation in Redwani area of the district.
The demonstrators raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. “Indian troops and police used brute force to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes between the demonstrators and the forces’ personnel.
As the clashes intensified, the police and troops resorted to indiscriminate firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells on the protesters resulting in the killing of three people and injuring of several others” according to the Kashmir Media Service.
The martyred civilians have been identified as Shakir Ahmed Khanday (22), Irshad Majeed (20) and a girl Andleeb (16). All the injured were taken to nearby Primary Health Centre (PHC) Frisal where three among them were declared brought dead, they said.
The fresh act of state terrorism has been perpetrated in Haowdoora are of Rewani Kulgam the southern district of occupied territory.
Local sources said that forces opened fire when locals started protesting and resisting the crackdown and house searches by Indian forces in the area.
Meanwhile, Internet has been suspended in Islamabad, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama districts to prevent protests to spread.
India’s top investigating agency, National Investigation Agency (NIA), has taken into custody the chief of Dukhtaraan-e-Milat (DeM), Asiya Indrabi, and her two associates in connection with a flimsy case registered in April this year for allegedly waging war against the “country” and delivering “hate speeches”.
Andrabi, who was incarcerated in Srinagar central jail after the Jammu and Kashmir High Court canceled her bail last month, was taken to Delhi by NIA along with her associates Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen.
All the three have been shifted to Notorious Tihar Jail and will be produced before a special NIA court in Patyala House later for custodial interrogation.
An FIR has been lodged against Asia and her organization, DeM, terming it as a terrorist organaisation.
According to the FIR, the “central government has received information that one Asiya Indrabi and her associates namely Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen are actively running a terrorist organization named as ‘Dukhtaran-E-Millat’ (DEM) which is proscribed under the First Schedule to the UAPA”.
