Russia Dismissed 23 UK Diplomats: On account of attacking former Russian spy and his daughter, Russia expelled 23 UK diplomats while closing British Council in Russia and the British Consulate in St Petersburg. Moscow embassy Staff from UK will go back to Russia within a week.

Russian Ex spy Sergei Skripal who is 66 years old and his daughter Yulia Skripal who is 33 years old were found unconscious on a bench in Salisbury, Wiltshire remains critically ill in hospital.  They were poisned with “Novichok” , a nerve agent of a type developed by Russia.

UK government stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered the nerve agent attack.  As a result British government ordered to expel 23 Russian envoys, the largest number of Russian diplomats leaving London in 30 years. All high level contacts collaborating over the chemical attack that poisoned former Kremlin double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in the city of Salisbury on March 4 were cancelled.

UK government further added that since WW II this is the first ever use of nerve agent, a chemical weapon developed in Russia and not declared by Russia at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, is a challenge to the western alliance. Russia has denied UK allegation of their involvement and warned that it would reply to the U.K.’s dismissal of 40% of its diplomats in London.

Donald Trump, president of United States of America, Angela Merkel, German Chancellor and French President Emmanuel Macron supported the British government in a joint statement with Theresa May and stated that there is “no reasonable alternative explanation” to Russian responsibility.

This has happened few days before elections which signify with certainty to give office of Russian president to Vladimir Putin for the fourth term.
