Due to security concerns many star players had refused to come to Karachi. There will be no practice session for the guest team on April 1. The captains of the two teams will not hold a traditional pre-series media conference as well. Besides, the photo session of the two teams with captains holding the series trophy has not been arranged.

However, the Pakistan cricket Board (PCB) said that the home team will hold a press conference at 5.30 on Saturday evening after which it will do practice from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm.

WI Squad for Matches: Cricket West Indies (CWI) had confirmed its 13-member squad for the tour of Pakistan. Jason Mohammed will be the captain of the squad which includes Samuel Badree, Rayad Emrit, Andre Fletcher, Andre McCarthy, Keemo Paul, Veerasammy Permaul, Rovman Powell, Denesh Ramdin, Marlon Samuels, Odean Smith, Chadwick Walton, Kesrick Williams, while Stuart Law will be the head coach with Alfonso Thomas and Ryan Maron as assistant coaches.

The West Indies are touring Pakistan for the first time after they visited in 2006.  West Indies were due to visit Pakistan in November, but a number of factors including unforeseen bad weather and reluctance of several West Indies players meant the tour had to be postponed. West Indies is only the third team after Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka to tour the country following an attack on Sri Lankan team in 2009.

Cricket West Indies Stated that this is a further major step for cricket friends at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to bring their cricket back home, and they are pleased that WI players and support staff have recognized this and supported this venture.

We welcome wholeheartedly West Indies players to Pakistan and wish to witness thrilling T20 matches with them.
