KIA Rio To Be Launched In Pakistan: Globally 437,000 units were sold just in 2015 which made The Kia Rio one of the most successful models for Kia. Finally, Kia has announced its new variant in Pakistan as well. The new Kia Rio price in Pakistan was expected to be $14500 – $16500 as per market speculation. The expected launch date is July 2018 as per market speculation. However, the actual price and booking date are yet to be announced officially. But the booking price is expected to be around 300,000 – 400,000.
Initially, the word was out that Kia Rio 2018 will be launched in Pakistan at a price point of 1.4 million but now Kia Pakistan (Lucky Cement Group) has denied such price estimations. However, globally the basic variant starts from $14,200. Kia is eager to launch multiple models in Pakistan but so far they have only announced one official model Kia Grand Carnival priced between PKR 4.0 million to 4.8 million.
No doubt that RIO is equipped with international standard features but the issue is that if Kia wants to succeed in Pakistan, they have to offer such a car loaded with all functions in a price bracket of 1.3 – 16 million. Kia knows better what they want to do and at what price they want to introduce this car but in our opinion, anything above 1.6 million leaves the buyer with multiple options like Toyota Acqua or Prius, N1 etc. This variant of Kia is good to beat lower end models of Suzuki like Cultus or WagonR or Honda City.
Overall, the front looks pleasantly wide, so that a self-confident appearance arises. Laterally, the fourth generation of the Kia Rio restrained, so a timeless impression arises. Only a long shoulder line, from the upper edge of the grill at the bow to the rear modeled the side view something.
As far as feel and space are concerned, Paris will show that the new Kia Rio will be presented to the world public from 1 to 16 October. On the prices and motorizations, Kia is also still covered. But it seems likely that they will be at the level of their predecessor.
