London’s Cat Café Unveiled Ed Sheeran Wax Figure: Ed Sheeran has played to packed stadiums around the world now he, or rather a wax figure of him, can add a cat cafe to the list of locations.

Waxwork museum Madame Tussauds unveiled a model of the British chart-topping musician at Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium in London, where customers sip their drinks surrounded by felines.

The figure of Sheeran is dressed in a checked shirt, bears the singer’s many tattoos and is holding a guitar – as the cafe’s cats eat treats and play around the model.

“Knowing what a pet lover he is, launching the figure at London’s renowned cat cafe felt like something the man himself would surely approve of,” Edward Fuller, general manager at Madame Tussauds in London, said in a statement.

Claire Treacy, PR manager at Madame Tussauds London, said.”At Madame Tussauds London we are all about famous fun, Ed is a very well-known cat lover so we thought why not unveil him at London’s famous Cat Cafe and what a fun way to introduce him to the UK.”

The figure will soon head to the museum, where visitors can see it from next week.

A waxwork of Ed Sheeran has gone on temporary display in a London cat café. The sculpture is eventually destined to be permanently exhibited at Madame Tussauds in the capital, but it has made a quick stop at the cat-centric establishment in Bethnal Green.

Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium will host the waxwork of Sheeran for a week before it is permanently housed at Madame Tussauds. You can see the waxwork in question – as well as two of the cats who reside at Lady Dinah’s – in the below post from Madame Tussauds.

According to the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, a number of ponds on Sheeran’s estate “could be breeding sites for this species” – which are legally protected due to loss of habitat in recent years.
