Ramazan Smoothies For Sehri And Iftaar: The Islamic month of fasting is right around the corner. Muslims observe fast from sun-up to sun-down for a whole month.
Ramadan, especially during the summer months, really calls out for eating and feeling fresh. And if you’re one of the people that really does not have an appetite at Sehri time, or you simply want to change it up while keeping it nutritious, we’ve got the solution for you.
Here are few smoothies recipes that will help you feel full and healthy
- Banana & Dates Smoothie For Sehri
Ingredients
1.5 cup skimmed milk
2 banana
6 soft dates
2 tsp light peanut butter
2 tsp cinnamon
Chia seeds to sprinkle (optional)
Ice cubes
How to get it done:
Peel the bananas and remove the seeds from the dates. Place all the ingredients in a blender with some ice and blend!

- Green Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup chopped, washed kale
1 cup chopped, washed baby spinach
1 medium cucumber, peeled and chopped into big pieces
2 stalks celery, washed and chopped into big pieces
1/2 cup red seedless grapes (or any type of berries you prefer)
1/2 cup orange juice, not from concentrate (no sugar added, fresh is best)
Ice (optional)
Instructions:
Place cucumber, celery, grapes, and orange juice into blender. Blend on high. Add the kale and spinach, blend again.
Add filtered water or more orange juice if you want it less pulpy. Add ice, blend again and serve immediately. It is good for people with diabetes and blood pressure. It helps ease joints pain as well.
- Strawberries Banana Smoothie
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 large banana, peeled and halved
1 (5.3 ounce) container Greek 100 Vanilla Yogurt,
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup sliced frozen peaches
1/4 cup orange juice
Directions
Combine the strawberries, half the banana, 1/2 container of yogurt, milk and honey (if using) in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into 2 glasses and rinse out the blender.
Combine the remaining half the banana, remaining yogurt, peaches and orange juice in the blender and blend until smooth. Pour over the strawberry smoothie layer and serve.
