Tragic Airplane Crash Took Their Lives Away: The Turkish private jet got crashed in Southwestern Iran on its way from Sharjah to Istanbul took away the lives of Mina Basaran, daughter of a business tycoon, with her seven friends and an all-female crew on board. All 11 women died in the accident reported by several Turkish news websites on Sunday evening. The group had travelled to Dubai on Friday for a three-day girl’s trip.
Crashed private jet was carrying bride-to-be and her eight friends on bachelorette trip to Dubai. Three female crew members were onboard the plane that crashed 370 km to the south of Tehran in the Zagros Mountains. Reasons of plane crash were heavy, rainy weather that led crashed into a mountain and burst into flames. Eyewitness reported seeing one of the plane’s engines on fire, before it crashed.
A Bombardier Challenger C600 series belonged to Mina’s father, Huseyin Basaran, of the Basaran Yatirim Holding business conglomerate in Turkey, with interests in construction, tourism, aviation, hotels, food, energy and more.
Iranian emergency services and rescuers were reported to be having a tough time reaching the crash site, due to the poor weather and mountain terrain.
In February this year, an Iranian ATR-72 domestic plane also crashed in southern Iran, killing 65 aboard.
In another plane crash in Nepal on Monday at least 49 people were killed. The flight, carrying 71 passengers and crew, crashed while landing at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan airport. Witnesses said there was a loud bang and that the plane shook violently while people wept inside the aircraft and chanted. The cause of the crash remains unclear, and an investigation is under way.
It is the worst aviation disaster to hit Nepal in years. Most accidents have been credited to bad weather, inexperienced pilots and inadequate maintenance.
