Ali Jehangir Siddiqui: Pakistan’s Ambassador to USA: Government of Pakistan has officially appointed Ali Jehangir Siddqiui as the new ambassador to United States of America. Ali, Business partner of PM,  was serving as the advisor to Prime Minister since August 2018. Prior to him Former foreign secretary Ambassador Aizaz Chaudhry, was serving as Pakistan’s envoy to the US. He left the office last month after retirement.

Ali Jamil Siddiqui holds a BA in Economics from Cornell University, US in 1998. He started his own technology business with the help of an older cousin at the age of 15. In a collaborative effort with seven other companies, he opened in 2012, the Karachi School of Business and Leadership affiliated with Cambridge University. He was honored by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a Young Global Leader in 2014. Siddiqui, whose name has also appeared in the Panama Papers in 2016 is a football fan with a love for Chinese food.

He has served as the Chief Investment Officer (COO) and Managing Partner at JS Private Equity and JS Private Equity Fund I. He has worked closely with potential investees.

He has been advising start-ups in the US, Europe and Asia for several years serving as the Chairman of Pak American Fertilizers Ltd. Mr. Siddiqui has served on the Boards of a number of fast-growing private sector companies as Director of Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Ltd, Al-Abbas Sugar Mills Limited, Acumen Fund (Pakistan), Acumen Fund, Inc., Azgard 9 Ltd., Airblue Ltd.  Pakistan International Container Terminal Ltd., Azgard Nine Ltd, Pakistan Reinsurance Company Ltd, of JS ABAMCO, Pakistan’s largest private sector mutual fund manager, Crosby, Lucky Cement Ltd.

In addition, he is involved with a number of charitable and sustainable development organizations and has to his credit Siddiqui Foundation and Karighar Institution which provides vocational training to carpenters, electricians etc.

He will join US office after confirmation letter from the US State Department.
