General Elections 2018 Will Be Postponed For A Couple of Months: Experienced politician Javed Hashmi stated that matter of short-term caretaker government will be placed before the Supreme Court due to disagreement between the government and the opposition. And incase if this happens the matter given in the hands of Supreme court (SC), General Elections 2018 would be postponed for a couple of months. It seems difficult for the political parties to develop consensus on caretaker set-up.

Hashmi further claimed that the Opposition parties and the government will not be able to reach any agreement on who should be the caretaker prime minister. Earlier while talking to the reporters he claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan People’s Party had been in an association during the sit-in days in Islamabad. PTI-PPP alliance for election of Senate chairman and deputy chairman has exposed both the parties before the public. While commenting on his resignation as PTI president and MNA, Hashmi said nobody had ever asked him as to why he parted ways with Imran Khan.
