Hosting of PSL Matches Will Take Place In Various Cities Next TimePakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials on Monday in a meeting gave credit to Najam Sethi’s to turn Pakistan Super League (PSL) into a reputable brand and plan of hosting its matches in various cities of the country next year. PCB’s Board of Governors also discussed various other issues pertaining to domestic, international and women’s cricket during the meeting. Chairman PCB Najam Sethi got appreciation over PSL success with a historic final at Karachi’s National Stadium on Sunday night.

PSL is a leading Pakistani brand acknowledged around the world. PCB is planning to develop an infrastructure for PSL and international matches around the country in the years ahead. As per media sources, Pindi, Multan, Peshawar and Hyderabad will be hosting 4th season of PSL matches. All the relevant stadiums would be upgraded and brought to international standards.

Chairman PCB said that he has delivered his promise of bringing back international cricket to Pakistan. He said that renovation work at the historic venue will resume after the 3 match Twenty20 International series against the West Indies. National Stadium Karachi will have more corporate boxes all around the field. It will get a new look including a state of the art media center, he added.

Pakistan And West Indies Series

In a three-match Twenty20 International at the National Stadium, Pakistan would be in the field against West from Sunday April 1. It will be the first time international cricket will be played in Karachi since 2009, and the first T20I to ever be played at the venue.

Three youngsters Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hussain Talat and Asif Ali are expected to make their international debut. Their inclusion in the national squad is credited to their excellent performance in the recently concluded 3rd edition of HBL Pakistan Super League.

The T20I series will be played on three consecutive days: April 1, 2 and 3. All matches will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi, which recently hosted the Pakistan Super League final(PSL).

Pakistan’s T20 squad: Ahmed Shehzad, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed (captain & wk), Hussain Talat, Faheem Ashraf, Muhammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Rahat Ali, Usman Khan, Shaheen Afridi.
