Ink & Shoe Throwing Incidents Continues:

On Tuesday, PTI chief Imran Khan escaped two attempts to hit him with a shoe during his rapid tour of the district. The first incident happened at Tanda town, a shoe intended for Imran hit a woman party leader, while the second attempt was made where the PTI’s Punjab President Aleem Khan became the target instead of the Imran Khan at GTS Chowk, Gujrat. One suspect was caught by the Police. He is a student of a seminary being run by a central leader of Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan belonging to Gujrat district. The suspect involved in the second incident managed to escape.

Earlier two men hit shoes at Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif but one hit him while he was about to begin addressing at an event organized by the Jamia Naeemia in Lahore on Sunday. He then jumped on the stage and raised slogans in favor of Mumtaz Qadri and fainted in the crowd.

A man was taken into police custody after he threw ink at Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif during his speech at a PML-N workers convention in Sialkot. The concerned authorities were told to release the suspect by the Foreign Minister.

The recent cases of flinging shoe and ink on rulers is getting condemnation calls from across the country. They depict the violent attitude uncontrolled in our society. The history of throwing shoe on politicians is not new.

It began in history when a journalist threw shoe on American President George Bush in Iraq when he was addressing a press conference. However this trend in Pakistan will bring about risky results as every action has a reaction.

The frustration of the people comes out in one way or another. It is yet to be confirmed that the background behind such incidents are whether personal, religious or political. It is not about any party but the matter of fact is that the people are not getting what they really deserve. Their mindsets are being used to achieve some ones else objectives.
