Interest Free Loans For Punjab Doctors: Under Punjab Health Foundation, specialized healthcare & medical education minister Khawaja Salman Rafique declared the provision of interest free loans to the doctors for the setting up of their clinics.
The Loan scheme will allow
- Purchasing of medical equipment to facilitate people at the grass root level, the target behind enhancing the healthcare facilities
PHF will sensitize the doctors about interest free loan schemes, implementation on the prescribed rules & regulations and support the merit.
It was revealed that besides MBBS doctors, homeopaths, physiotherapist and ophthalmology technologist have also been included in the smart loan schemes.
The PHF management will have to ensure that the applicant was registered with the Punjab Healthcare Commission, Pakistan Medical and Dental Counsel, Pakistan National Homeopathic Counsel and other concerned organization while finalizing the loan cases.
The finance and technical committee of PHF met last week during which 60 cases of loan applications were presented for approval.
Rural Health Center Dinah
Rural Health Centre (RHC) Dinah, District Jehlum should be upgraded to the level of model hospital. As compared to the thick population of Dinah the health facilities are less than the demand of the area.
- 24 kanal of land for establishing THQ hospital was not sufficient for a THQ hospital.
PHF approved the up gradation of Rural Health Center to a model hospital. Dinah RHC would be converted from 20 beds to 40 beds model hospital with updated basic facilities including emergency services, labor room and operation theater
Earlier Punjab government this year approved soft and small loan schemes for young doctors, house officers and senior clinicians so that they may set up clinics and purchase equipment. Under that scheme a loan of up to Rs. 700,000 was being awarded without any property mortgage, on the basis of documents and a personal guarantee. It was further shared that the recovery of PHF loans is 100% and that a soft loan of Rs. 200,000 is also being offered to nurses and other paramedics for establishing their set up.
