Sharjeel Memon granted protective bail

Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted protected bail to Pakistan People Party senior leader and former minister Sharjeel Memon on Monday when he appeared before the court over cases of alleged involvement in corruption of Rs5.77 billion.

Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Akhtar Kayani approved the bail and directed Memon to approach trial court.

Memon was briefly apprehended for questioning by the National Accountability Bureau on Saturday night immediately after his return from Dubai at Islamabad airport.
