Was Indian actor Sara Khan arrested in Pakistan?: HumSub.TV: Famous Indian TV actor Sara Khan was recently in Pakistan to shoot for her debut Pakistani drama, Bay Khudi alongside Noor Hassan.
Now, she is all set to star in another Pakistani drama Laikin with style guru Atiqa Odho.
However, Sara Khan recently returned to India. As soon as she landed, rumours sparked that the budding star was detained in Pakistan as she extended her visit for two days.
In an interview with an Indian publication, Sara rubbished the gossip, saying “I was told to stay back for my No Objection Certificate (NOC) and I stayed in my five-star hotel not in police custody. I don’t know who is spreading such news. I was not doing anything illegal there. I stayed back to get the NOC.” the actor said.
She went on to say, “I was two days above my visa because of flight issues. Then, the immigration people told me that I need to take the NOC. So I stayed back there, got the NOC and came back to Mumbai. I was not detained, I was retained there. The NOC is needed from the Ministry level and I stayed back. Throughout my trip, I have been active on social media, how can people spread such stupid rumours. I was shooting for my show there.”
Talking about her first working experience in Pakistan, Sara was all praises. “It’s an honour to do my first Pakistani drama series. In Pakistan, serials and films do not have a demarcation like in India. In fact, the Pakistani TV industry is biggest there. So, I am super excited,” she added.
