105 SLIC employees yet to get 20% increase since 2012
Despite passage of over five years and issuance of notification, 105 employees of State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC) has not yet paid additional twenty percent salaries to its employees.
Sources claimed that those sitting on top posts have paid additional pay to over five hundred employees on the basis of favouritism while the files of the rest employees were sent into cold room, which created perturbation among the employees.
The previous government had raised twenty percent salaries of SLIC employees, which official notification was also issued on January 2012 but despite passage of five years, one hundred and five employees are deprived from their rights.
Sources said that most of the affected employees have retired. Despite the directives of Chairman SLIC, Naveed Kamran Baloch, officers in Karachi offices including Seating Manager Shahid Hashmi, Qasim Jan Personal secretary to Chairman, Manzoor Ali, Divisional Head Legal and Shafique Sheikh Director Personnel were the main hurdles in giving rights to employees. The affected employees have asked the high ups to take notice and help paying their arrears.
