Boxing Plans For Pakistan By Amir Khan: Big plans for promoting boxing in Pakistan are what Amir Khan the boxing icon next kick. Amir khan made Pakistani people proud as he dedicated his ballistic victory against Phil Lo Greco to the nation of the country. Amir is considered as the Pakistani version of Muhammad Ali and he is British Ambassador in Pakistan and Pakistani Ambassador in Britain.
The situation of boxing however remains weak in the country. Pakistani boxers are struggling to get titles internationally. Pakistan Professional Boxing Federation (PPBF) is seeking permission from the World Boxing Council Asia(WBCA) to get Quetta boxer Ali Dad a youth title fight. PPBF chief Rasheed Baloch approached WBC Asia General Secretary to allow Ali Dad to fight for youth title.
Pakistan Professional Boxing League
In January, a body of professional boxing in Pakistan has been formed. It is named as Pakistan Professional Boxing League. PPBL is a separate body than PBF. Pakistan Professional Boxing League was founded with the aim of promoting the world’s second most played sport i.e. boxing in Pakistan.
Since the first national boxing championship in 1948, Pakistan has not established any platform for professional boxers. But now, PPBL aspires to revolutionize the Boxing sport in Pakistan by Organizing international boxing matches, according to legal provisions in force.
