Christian Family Lost Their Lives in Quetta

Christian Family Lost Their Lives in Quetta: In Quetta on Monday, unknown gunmen opened fire on the four members of a Christian family who belonged to Punjab and came to Quetta to see their relatives in Shahzaman road area, where a large number of the city’s Christian community lives.

Due to the attack on Christian family who were travelling in an auto rickshaw died on the spot as all four Imran Masih, Tariq Masih, Pervez Masih and Firdus Bibi were hit by bullets in the head and upper parts of the body.

As per media sources witness shared that rickshaw was attacked from two sides by the attackers. Personnel of the police and paramilitary Frontier Corps shifted the bodies to the hospital.

Christain family included a woman, two brothers and a 12 year old girl who is in serious condition was shifted at the trauma center of the Civil Hospital Quetta. The injured girl was identified as Sehar Pervez.

The unfortunate incident took place after Pakistan’s Christian community celebrated Easter on Sunday. In December, a week before Christmas, two suicide bombers stormed a packed Christian church in southwestern Pakistan, killing at least 10 people and wounding up to 56, in an attack claimed by Islamic State.

The militant Islamic group (IS) has claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement carried by its Aamaq news.

More Killings in Quetta

In another incident, two groups of the Bangulzai tribe clashed with each other in the Kalli Qambrani area killing five people, including a Levies man, dead and five others injured. After the attack by automatic weapons the bodies were taken to the Bolan Medical College hospital. They were identified as Takri Ghulam Rasool and his son Abdul Hameed, Bashir Ahmed, Levies official Naveed Ahmed and Amanullah.

These killings happened as the result of an old hostility between the two groups.

Security personnel surrounded the area and local administration deployed a heavy force of FC and police personnel to prevent further clashes. Armed men from both sides were taken into custody.
