Currency smuggling case: Court maintains Ayyan Ali bailable arrest warrants
Rawalpindi Customs Court while accepting model Ayyan Ali plea for exemption from appearance in court in currency smuggling case adjourned the hearing till October 7.
Custom Court Rawalpindi took up the Ayyan Ali currency smuggling case for hearing on Saturday.
During the course of hearing, Counsel of Ayyan Ali, Latif Khosa appeared in the court and prayed for exemption for his client from appearance due to her engagements and for maintaining her bailable arrest warrants.
The court while maintaining bailable arrest warrants of model Ayyan Ali accepted her plea of exemption from appearance and adjourned the hearing till October 7.
It is vital to mention here that a customs court in November 2015 indicted Ayyan for attempting to smuggle more than half a million dollars in cash out of the country, to which she had pleaded not guilty.
