Decision taken to keep out Aqama holders from cabinet
The aqama holders would not be part of new cabinet as the former premier was disqualified due to aqama. It was decided in the meeting held in the chair with former premier Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday.
Sources of PML-N said that in the meeting, Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif have agreed that parliamentarians holding aqama would not be given any portfolio in the next faederal cabinet , which could take oath in next couple of days.
“As per joint decision of top leadership of PML-N, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Asif and Ishaq Dar would not be the part of new cabinet and new parliamentarians would be included in next setup”, sources added.
The sources told this scribe that former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has categorically denied joining the new cabinet.
