Eid Holidays Notification By Government Issued: The Interior Ministry has issued a notification   for four holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr that is likely to fall on next Friday.

According to the notification, June 15 to 18th would be observed as Eid holidays.

According to Met Office, there are fair chances of moon sighting on June 14.

The Met Office had predicted overcast conditions for most of the areas in Pakistan on June 14.

The holy month of Ramazan this year started the same day in most of the Islamic countries and it is expected that the Eid will also be celebrated the same day.

Last week, the Met Department predicted Eid on June 16. An official said there were slim chances of the Shawwal moon being sighted on the evening of June 14. Therefore, there is a high chance of Ramazan lasting 30 days and Eid being marked on June 16 nationwide. In case the estimation proves inaccurate, Eid may be celebrated on June 15.

In SaudiArab And Oman

Meanwhile, Eid holidays have also been announced in Saudi Arabia. Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz announced a 10-day Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for public sector employees, Gulf News reported.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz has announced extending Eid al-Fitr’s holiday for all civil and military employees in the government. The work will be resumed on Sunday, 10 Shawwal 1439 Hijri date, which corresponds to 24 June.

The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) had previously said that Eid al-Fitr’s holiday would start on Tuesday, 28 Ramadan, that corresponds to 12 June, while trading will be resumed 6 Shawaal 1439 Hijri date, which corresponds to 20 June.

Oman: Eid holidays for Oman have also been announced. According to a statement from Oman’s state news agency, holidays for public sector employees begin on June 15 and end on June 18.
