The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday interrogated Pakistani cricketers Khalid Latif and Mohammad Irfan and put their names on Exit Control List (ECL) over alleged spot fixing in the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The decision came after Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar demanded from FIA to bar all the suspected and booked cricketers from flying abroad.

Earlier, the two players were summoned to FIA Lahore office where they recorded their statements in front of the agency’s personnel. They were questioned about contacts with bookies and reported spot fixing in the League.

The suspended and formally booked players Sharjeel Khan and Shahzaib Hassan have been summoned tomorrow by FIA to record their statements.

FIA dispatched a letter to the interior ministry asking to put the names of all five suspects, including Nasir Jamshed, on the ECL.
