First-Ever Military Drills Of Pakistani And Indian Troops Together: In August this year, Pakistani and Indian forces will conduct military drills together for the first-time ever. Pakistani and Indian soldiers have operated together as peacekeepers in missions of the United Nations. However, this will be the first-ever military exercise in which both the countries will fight together in mock operations against terrorists, neutralize terror networks and spoil possible attacks besides testing combat readiness.

The Shanghai Corporation Organization (SCO) was formed in 2001 by China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. It now has eight full members, including Pakistan, India and Uzbekistan. Another four nations have been accorded “observer” status, while six others are “dialogue” partners.

Islamabad and New Delhi became the full members of the SCO in June, 2017 at the Astana summit in Kazakhstan where then Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Indian Premier Narendra Modi represented their countries. By joining the SCO, Pakistan and India have become part of the Tashkent-based Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure (RATS) which holds such military drills. Under the RATS, both countries are responsible to share intelligence information on terror.

The drill will begin in the second last week of August and conclude in the first week of September. As per sources, Indian Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made an official announcement on Tuesday that India will participate in the multi-nation military exercise along with Pakistan in Russia.

We hope this way India might end their extremist and brutal activities in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
