Interim Cabinet Setup Province Wise: Sindh: After Fazalur Rehman sworn in as caretaker Sindh CM, a seven-member cabinet of the interim Sindh government took oath at the Governor House.

The oath was administered by Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair. Khair Muhammad Junejo, Jameel Yousuf, Dr Junaid Shah, Colonel (retd) Dost Muhammad Chandio, Dr Sadia Rizvi, Simon John Daniel, and Mushtaq Ahmad Shah became part of the province’s caretaker government.

Members of the cabinet were decided after consultations between caretaker chief minister Fazlur Rehman and legal experts.

Caretaker Cabinet KPK

A ten-member cabinet of the interim Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was sworn in at the Governor House.

KP Governor Iqbal Zafar Jagra administered the oath to the caretaker cabinet, after he named the members in a notification issued.

The following have been named in the caretaker KP cabinet:

  1. Akbar Jan Marwat
  2. Mohammad Rashid Khan
  3. Dr Saira Safdar
  4. Muqadas Ullah
  5. Abdul Rauf Khan
  6. Mohammad Sanaullah Khan
  7. Zafar Iqbal Bangash
  8. Anwar ul Haq
  9. Fazl Elahi
  10. Justice (retd) Asadullah Khan Chamkani

Balochistan

Balochistan Chief Minister Alauddin Marri last week unveiled his provincial cabinet consisting of 11 members.

The members include Agha Umar Bangulzai, Naveed Kalmati, Hafiz Khalil Ahmed, Inayatullah Kasi Advocate, Khurram Shahzad, Farzana Baloch, Abdul Salam Khan, Manzoor Hussain, Nasrullah Khilji, Imam Buksh Baloch and Faiz Kakar.

The members, including one female, were sworn in as ministers. Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai administered the oath to them during a ceremony held at the Governor House.

Punjab

The six-member caretaker cabinet which later expanded to 10 comprises privatization commission consultant Waqas Riaz, former chairman of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Zafar Mahmood, former Inspector-General of Punjab Shaukat Javed, and former provincial minister of excise and taxation Zia Haider Rizvi. The remaining two members are former president of the Lahore chamber of commerce Anjum Nisar and Jawwad Sajid. Saeedullah Babar, Sardar Ilyas Itanve, Nauman Kabir and Chaudhary Faisal Mushtaq were added later in the list.

Portfolios for the newly chosen cabinet members include; Kabir as minister for labor and human resource and local development transport, Babar will be heading minister for housing and physical planning, Ilyas has been given agriculture and planning and development portfolio and Mushtaq will be the education minister.

Change In Minister’s Portfolios

Punjab government has issued notification regarding change of departments and grant of additional charge to the ministers of caretaker cabinet. According to the notification of Services & General Administration Department (Cabinet Wing), the Caretaker Provincial Minister for Industry, Trade & Investment and Mines & Mineral Development Anjum Nisar has been given additional charge of Zakat & Ushr Department.

Caretaker Provincial Minister for Energy, Local Government & Urban Development and Irrigation Departments Zafar Mehmood has been given the additional charge of Disaster Management. Caretaker Minister for Information Ahmad Waqas Riaz has been delegated the additional charge of Forests, Wildlife & Fisheries Department. Caretaker Provincial for Home Shaukat Mehmood has been handed over additional charge of Sports and Public Prosecution Departments.

Caretaker Provincial Minister Ch. Faisal Mushtaq has been given the portfolio of Human Rights & Minority Affairs, Population Welfare Department, Social Welfare Department and Baitul Maal. Whereas, Higher Education, Schools Education, Special Education, Literacy & Non-Formal and Basic Education departments will remain with the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab.
