Intermediate Papers Leaked Out In Karachi: Annual Intermediate exams in Karachi kicked off from the 24th of April and the papers are reported to be getting leaked before the exam begins.
Mathematics question paper, was leaked on social media 10 minutes before the exam was about to start on Thursday. A second-year zoology exam was leaked half an hour on social media before the exam was about to begin on Wednesday this week. The exams, however, still went ahead with the same question paper being handed out to the students.
Governor and CM Sindh have regretted ban on the media coverage of intermediate exams that was imposed by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), maintaining that they were unaware of the ban imposed on media coverage of intermediate examination. Inter Board Chairman Professor Inam Ahmed, said it is the responsibility of the education board in stopping the papers from leaking. He suggested that the Sindh Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) should help curb people from bringing in phones and leaking the paper.
He said that that there was no way that the paper could have been leaked as no mobile phones are allowed in the examination centers.
Professor Inam Ahmed shared that he himself had toured the examinations centers beforehand to make sure that the security measures were up to the date, adding that an investigation will be launched into the case of who bought their phones and leaked the paper.
No Cheating Found In Center During Exam
Talking about the cheating that takes place during the examinations, the professor said that when he visited the centers, he found no activity of cheating.
To prevent leaks of examination papers, this year the Intermediate board had put a ban on media coverage of exams.
Board of Intermediate Education Karachi BIEK organized the Inter part 1 and part 2 exams in May and announces its date sheet one month before the beginning of exams.
