Japanese Ambassador Takashi Kurai Met PM: Prime Minister Nasir-ul-Mulk has said Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with Japan and invited Japanese companies to avail the investment friendly environment in Pakistan.

He was talking to ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Takashi Kurai who paid a courtesy call on him at the Prime Minister’s office.

The Prime Minister also noted the long history of economic and development cooperation between the two countries.

Appreciating japans acknowledgement of sacrifices and contributions made by Pakistan to eradicate the menace of terrorism, the prime minister said that it was time to change perception on security situation in Pakistan.

The ambassador conveyed greetings of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and said Japan greatly valued bilateral relations with Pakistan and appreciated the efforts and achievements of the government and the people of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.

He also appreciated Pakistan’s economic turnaround and growth trajectory.

He expressed the hope that Japan as a friend would continue to work with Pakistan for further strengthening of bilateral relations.

The Prime Minister thanked the Japanese Ambassador and expressed his best wishes for his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe and said that the people of Pakistan eagerly looked forward to his visit.

Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Japan, and encourage Japanese companies to avail the investment-friendly environment in Pakistan. The Prime Minister also noted the long history of economic and development cooperation between the two countries.

Japanese Ambassador At Iftar Dinner

Speaking at an Iftar dinner, Ambassador Takashi Kurai said that the two countries can cooperate in the vendor industry, agriculture while the Japanese companies can also work in different projects under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He said that different Japanese companies are also considering investments in Karachi.

The diplomat noted that Joint Ventures (JVs) in the vendor industry will benefit Pakistan and the auto sector of Japan while cooperation in the field of agriculture and high-tech industry will be beneficial.

The ambassador said that Pakistan should improve the investment environment and expressed his intention to make the best efforts to introduce Pakistani goods and services in Japan.

Both nations must cooperate to boost the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) sector which will improve production, increase jobs, and boost revenue, he said.
