Kalsoom Nawaz’s condition worsens, Nawaz likely to leave for London today

Kalsoom Nawaz has been re-admitted to the hospital upon the worsening of her condition and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to leave for London on Thursday.

Medical condition of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz deteriorated on Tuesday evening after which she was readmitted to the hospital. Sources have informed that Kulsoom Nawaz had been admitted in the emergency unit of Princess Grace Hospital in London.

Maryam Nawaz, her daughter who is currently with her in London had tweeted regarding the health of her mother.

Nawaz had spent over three weeks with her wife in London after which he returned to the country on Monday. Kulsoom is undergoing treatment for lymphoma.

The former premier appeared before the accountability court which is hearing three corruption references against him and his family, a day after his return.

The court has set October 2 as the date of the next hearing, when it will indict the ousted prime minister. After his court appearance, Nawaz returned to the Punjab House, where he met several political leaders and party officials, including Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
