Pakistani politicians descend on London this month: A number of Pakistani politicians, including former premier Nawaz Sharif, will be arriving in London over the next few days.
Sharif will arrive in London today to meet his wife, Kulsoom Nawaz. Begum Nawaz is under treatment for lymphoma in London.
Upon reaching London, Sharif would also address supporters, according to informed sources.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Fawad Chaudhary will reach London on Friday and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed over the weekend.
Chaudhry is scheduled to address six meetings, while Rasheed-led AML has announced four sessions in London.
PTI chief Imran Khan is likely to arrive here in the second week of September. He has been invited by his friend Naeem Musarrat on his daughter’s wedding on September 9.
It has been learnt that some other senior members of the PTI would also be coming to attend the wedding ceremony of Musarrat’s daughter.
Moreover, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Dr Asim Hussain is also expected to arrive in London for his medical treatment. He was allowed to go abroad by the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
