Police finds Tiger Woods ‘asleep at wheel’: According to the US media, Golfer Tiger Woods had been found “asleep at the wheel” with the engine of his running when he was arrested. The former world number one golfer had been found at the wheel of his Mercedes, on the right lane. Early on Monday, 29th, May, 2017, Mr Woods had to be woken by a police officer.

Mr Woods has been charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI), while Mr Woods had blamed “an unexpected reaction to prescribed medication.” Mr Woods has maintained that alcohol was “not involved” in the incident.

According to the copy of the police report published “Woods had extremely slow and slurred speech.” The report says that he was “co-operative” but “confused.

According to the results sheet from his breathalyser test he was “unable to walk alone” however results showed that the former World Number one “blew zeroes” indicating a lack of alcohol in his breath.

In the initial statement by Mr Woods, he told the arresting officer that he was coming back from Los Angeles, and having been golfing, he further said that he did not know where he was. According to the police report after that he changed his story about where he was coming from and going to.

According to the officers Mr Woods had failed all but one of the roadside tests, the failed tests included standing on one leg and the “walk and turn” test.

According to the police document some of the golfer’s medical details, which included a history of multiple knee and Achilles tendon surgeries.

Mr Woods told the police that he was taking several prescription medications. Mr Woods has been recovering from back surgery. This will take the count of his back operations to four. Mr Woods is expected to be out of action until October.

According to Mr Woods which was the most recent comment about his health, he wrote that the surgery had relieved terrible pain and that he had not “felt this good in years.”

The mugshot of Mr Woods showed him with a scruffy, bleary-eyed and unshaven look. Which is just the sort of image he would not want associated with himself in public.

Afterwards Mr Woods in a statement said that”I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions. I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realise the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.

According to the Police records 41 year old golfer had been pulled over at about 03:00 local time (07:00 GMT) near his home in Jupiter and was later taken into custody.

Mr Woods had been released from Palm Beach County jail at 10:30 local time.

Mr Woods is due in court for a mandatory appearance in early July.
