PSP to attend MQM-P’s all-parties’ conference tomorrow

Pak Sarzameen Party has accepted the invitation to attend Muttahida Qaumi Movement– Pakistan’s all parties’ conference scheduled tomorrow.

Speaking in a joint press conference at the party’s office, PSP leader Anis Advocate said: “principally we have decided to attend the meeting tomorrow,” he immediately added, “we hope that the MQM-P will hold a clear stance against the traitor of country tomorrow.”

In a reference to London-based MQM founder, the PSP representative further said that the province and metropolis will only progress when every individual and political party disassociates from Ghadar-e-Watan.

Anis also said that till the name MQM remains in the politics of the city, Altaf Hussain will get oxygen.

Speaking on the occasion, MQM-P leader Aamir Khan reiterated complete separation of the party’s politics with the party’s London leadership.

Khan said that in the conference the leadership will focus on the issues related to local bodies and corruption present in the provincial departments.

He added that the party has invited local leadership of Pakistan Peoples’ Party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Awami National Party.

MQM-P leader Faisal Subzwari said that his party aspires to take ahead the minimum common agenda of political parties.

“We won’t do politics of violence, we won’t pursue the politics of Muhajir killer- Muhajir victim,” he said.

Subzwari informed that the MQM-Pakistan leadership will meet MQM-Haqiqi leaders today to give the invitation for its all-parties conference.

August 22 marks a year’s passing since MQM founder’s questionable anti-state comments in his speech at Karachi Press Club. Following which the party disassociated itself from Altaf Hussain to create its own faction with senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar as its leader.

A day after Hussain’s speech, Sattar reiterated that MQM will operate from Pakistan and that all the parties decisions will now be taken from its leadership based in the country.

MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui met with PPP provincial legislator Nisar Khuhro to invite him to the multi-party conference.

Khuhro while speaking to the media said: “we will get back to the MQM-leadership on their invitation request after due consultation within the party in 24 hours”.

Siddqiui in response to a question said that other than MQM-Pakistan no party has disassociated itself from its leadership for the sanctity of the country.
