PTI to celebrate Youm-e-Tashakar on Sunday on Nawaz’s disqualification

Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI), Imran Khan Friday announced that PTI will celebrate Thanksgiving Day (Youm-e-Tashakr) on Sunday here at Parade ground against disqualification of Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing a news conference flanked by his party leaders, he claimed that foundation of Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan has been laid today. He said that a big rally would be taken out Sunday in Parade Ground to mark Youm-e-Tashakur day.

He ruled out the impression of having any personal grudge against Nawaz Sharif. “I hold no personal grudge against Nawaz Sharif,” he said. “This is not a fight between me and him but a national issue pertaining to corruption,” he added.

PTI chief Imran Khan invited the public to celebrate on Sunday at Parade Ground in Islamabad, where a large public rally will be held to celebrate Sharif’s disqualification. He also thanked the Supreme Court and JIT members for working hard to ensure the justice and rule of law. He added the powerful could be held accountable in Pakistan if the judiciary wanted to do so.

He highlighted that in Pakistan, there were two separate laws for the affluent and the poor. He stated that today people across Pakistan were celebrating since the apex court had provided a ray of hope to the masses.

Lauding work of JIT members, he said JIT members are national heroes. “What our JIT has accomplished in 60 days, even this is not achieved in western countries,” he added. He said that nations were not destroyed because of wars or bombardment but when institutions who were supposed to dispense justice did not function properly.

Imran stressed the need to recover all the looted money and it should be invested in education and health. “2.5 million children are out of schools in Pakistan and our kids are also a victim of stunted growth,” he added.

He further said it was one case and one step against corruption and many more “dacoits” are to be caught. He said that there a dacoits sitting in the assemblies as elected members of the people.

PTI chief said that during the tenure of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) no case was lodged against the premier and his family on purpose. He said that the this was one case and one step against corruption and many more “dacoits” are to be caught.
