Qatari Prince says ready to record statement but JIT hasn’t contacted

Resources close to the Qatari Prince Hamad Bin Jasim have stated that the prince is ready to record his statement however the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has not contacted him in this regard.

The media reports have highlighted that the JIT has been offered by the Qatari Prince to come to his house or office for questioning.

TheQatari Prince has also mentioned that he is not bound to any law of Pakistan however he is still ready to cooperation with JIT.

Two members of the JIT had reached back to Pakistan after visiting Dubai for Panama investigation. The two officers, Brigadier Kamran and Irfan Mangi had landed at Islamabad Airport yesterday and joined the rest of their team for questioning Maryam Nawaz.

Earlier, the Qatari Prince Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al Thani had refused to visit the Pakistan Embassy in order to record his statement in Panama Leaks case. Sources have told that the prince has asked the JIT to come to his house if they want to record his statement for the panama case.

Asif Kirmani a senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has stated that ruling party will have “serious apprehensions”, if Qatari Prince’s statement will not be included in final report of JIT.

The PML-N leader while talking to media outside Judicial Academy in Islamabad, said that the JIT should record statement of the Prince.

He further added that JIT gave three options to Qatari Prince and he asked the team to come to Qatar to record his statement

He emphasized “He has accepted one option of JIT so now the team must go to Qatar,
