Another case of torturing minor maid surfaced in Islamabad on Saturday when pictures of 11-year-old servant with trimmed hair appeared.

The incident took place in Sector E-11 where a resident lady allegedly tortured Saima by beating, burning her skin with hot knife and trimming her hair. The girl, however, managed to escape and found shelter in neighbour’s house.

Saima further revealed that another servant was involved in beating her as she was not allowed to visit her family from the past four years.

Police recorded the preliminary statement and account as stated by the victim, who belongs to Rahim Yar Khan, and booked the woman identified as Almas and his son Mohammad Ahmed.

A similar case stirred a heated debate earlier this year in the Supreme Court of Pakistan in response to a suo motu notice taken by the Chief Justice regarding violence on minor maid Tayyaba by Additional Session Judge Raja Khurram and his wife Maheen.
