FBR releases parliamentarians’tax directory
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has released the consecutive forth tax directory of Parliamentarian on Thursday.
Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar while launching the parliamentarian’ tax directory 2016 said that government is launching the tax directory in fourth consecutive year; this is a record that no previous government as well as any other country had published a tax directory.
The tax department will wait one more month to finalize this directory as more than one hundred PMs did not file their income tax returns.
Document available with Online indicates that 1010 out of 1172 PMs of Senate, National Assembly and Provincial assemblies filed their return in fiscal year 2016, MPs of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf Jehangir Tareen paid Rs 53,677,426, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Rs 2,524,213, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif Rs 7,038,777, Ishaq Dar 4,617,328, Imran khan Rs 1,59,609, Syed khursheed Ali Shah 1,24,215, Shahbaz Sharif Rs 9,531,000, Shiekh Rasheed Ahmad Rs .5 million, Senator Talha Mehmood Rs 32,495,000, Perviaz Elahi Rs 1482000, Ayaz Sadiq Rs .14 million, Shah Mehmood Quershi Rs 1.882 million, Ahsan Iqbal Rs 82 thousands, Perviaz Rasheed Rs .173 million, Asad Umer 6.368 million and Perviaz Khattak submitted Rs .813 million during the last fiscal year.
Earlier Haroon Akhtar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue while addressing to audience stated that government is doing great job under the leadership of Senator Ishaq Dar. FBR has been making a record to publish the forth Parliamentarians Tax Directory.
