Fire erupts at factory in Landhi industrial area

Fire broke out at a cloth factory in Karachi’s Landhi industrial area on Friday.

At least 12 fire engines with one fire snorkel and two water bowsers are taking part in the fire-fighting operation and brigade trucks have been summoned from all over the city.

According to fire brigade, the erupted fire is of third degree that has engulfed the entire factory and may take up to 15 hours to be extinguished.

Labourers working in the factory escaped the premises by climbing out of windows.

The manager, however, claimed that only one fire tender reached the site after two hours of registering the complaint and that too without water.
