Pakistan Tehreek-e-InsaafImran Khan invites public wrath on calling foreign

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan invited censure from Pakistanis on Monday by making derogatory remarks about the international players who came all the way to Lahore to play the final match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) second edition on March 5.

Khan branded foreign players who came to play PSL final as “phateechar”, roughly translated as “useless”, in what seems to be an internal party meeting.

“I don’t even know the name of any of these so-called foreign players. It seems they just picked up players from wherever. Picked some from Africa and called them foreign players,” said Khan.

The video went viral on social media which earned him public anger for using ‘racist’ language against foreign players who willingly graced the event and brought smiles on the faces of terror-stricken people of the country.

It is pertinent to mention here that Darren Sammy, captain of Team Peshawar Zalmi, had said after the victory that he was glad to come and experience the atmosphere. “Even though Peshawar came out on top, cricket was the real winner in Lahore.”

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah and Minister for State for Information and Broadcasting Mariyum Aurangzeb declared his remarks to be extremely vile and reflection of his mentality.

“Whatever he said clearly reflects his mentality and people now must think before voting for his party in next general elections,” said Aurangzeb.

“Imran Khan has no control on his words,” bashed Sanaullah.
