Neglected workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) demonstrated and participated in symbolic funeral of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday, the day of his arrival to address People’s Workers Convention.

Party workers wore burial shrouds and vowed to take the funeral to the convention. They said that N-league has ignored all those workers who had factually given sacrifices for the party and is nothing more than “Mamnoon League” in Sindh.

“The current party organisation in Sindh should be dismissed and a new one formulated on urgent basis,” demanded the demonstrators.

Senior worker Makhdoom Ata Hussain said that PML-N disowned party workers in Sindh as stepmother. “A specific fraction is being given all the benefits, while the dedicated workers who gave sacrifices for the party are being cornered.”

A heavy contingent of police reached the site of protest and tried to disperse the demonstrators through talks but later resorted to arresting 30 party workers.
