Two Pakistan Army officials were martyred and five militants killed on Tuesday during an exchange of fire resulting from operation in Swabi’s Malikabad area.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, security forces were carrying out an operation on a tip-off from intelligence agencies when the militanst retaliated, claiming lives of Captain Junaid and Sepoy Amjad.
The troops cordoned off the area immediately after the attack while firing continued till the filing of this report.
