Opposition unanimously boycotted President’s speech: Khursheed Shah: According to opposition leader Khursheed Shah the opposition had been united in the decision to boycott the President Mamnoon Hussain’s speech. Khursheed Shah said in reference to opposition’s protest during the joint session of parliament on Thursday, 01st, June, 2017.

Khursheed Shah was talking with the media outside the parliament. Mr Shah said that “there has been nothing but chaos in the government since the last year.

He further added that the president had not spoken about problems which were faced by the people in Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Mr Shah said while talking about the President’s address.

Mr Shah added that “The institutions have been threatened; judiciary and the armed forces have all been targeted. But, the president stayed silent on these issues, The institutions are being challenged openly; the president has failed to perform his duties.

He further remarked that “We are not allowed to speak in the parliament,” he said that opposition members tried to solve the issue in the parliament and not on streets. “For the first time such a situation has come up that we have to take to the streets.

While referring to the matter of Senator Nehal Hashmi, the opposition leader said that a senator had made startling remarks and immediately that senator had been removed from the post. Mr Shah accused that he believes that the government was behind the remarks made by that senator.

Mr Shah further claimed that “The government wanted to threaten the institutions, which it has done now.

At the moment while talking to the media Pakistan Tehreek i Insaaf’s Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he had been in the government the opposition leadre would have pondered over why opposition is reacting so aversely.

 He further added that “The government can get the budget passed with majority. But, this compromises the rules of democracy

While Jammat e Islami’s amir Siraj-ul-Haq said that the “Government is responsible for all its actions.
