Pakistan Army Won UK Drill Competition: Pakistan Army team won the drill competition commonly known as All Arms and International Pace Sticking Competition held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, UK on 14th June 2018.

With as little time as two months for learning the drill exercise, the team from Pakistan Military Academy high kicked its way to the surprise win at the 90th Competition at Sandhurst.

In his message of felicitation on the occasion, H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, the High Commissioner, commended Pakistan Team’s dedication and spirit to take on the challenge. He said Pakistan Team once again demonstrated at the #Sandhurst Competition the highest standards of professionalism and excellence maintained by our armed forces.

Pakistan Army team won despite having trained for only two months for the drill exercise, a statement from the Pakistan High Commission in London stated.

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK Syed Ibne Abbas commended the dedication and spirit of the Pakistan Army team following the win.

Pakistan Army team once again demonstrated at the Sandhurst Competition the highest standards of professionalism and excellence maintained by our armed forces, Abbas said.

Major General Ghafoor said that Pakistan Army was represented by the Pakistan Military Academy in the competition.

Sheroz Shahid—Army cadet on the 13th of April has sealed the foreign International Medal at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) UK. The award was provided for high performance in physical fitness, education and training shown during the training session.

The medal was given by the General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter, Chief of General Staff of British Army who was the reviewing officer of the Parade.

On the 26th of March, eight Army officers were gifted with Sitara-e-Imtiaz (military), fifteen officers were awarded with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (military) and twenty-four were provided with Tamgha-e-Bisalat at an inauguration ceremony which was held at the Corps Headquarters Peshawar for their performance of chivalry during the operations.
