PM Meets UAE Ambassador: The UAE ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi met with caretaker Prime Minister, Justice (Retired) Nasir-ul-Mulk.

“The ambassador, while congratulating the prime minister on his assumption of office, said that it was an important milestone in Pakistan’s democratic transition,” the Prime Minister’s office said in a statement.

The ambassador said that the UAE greatly valued its deep-rooted relations with Pakistan and was committed to further consolidating existing bilateral and economic ties.

“He expressed hope that Pakistan would fully utilize the platform of EXPO 2020 to showcase its immense potential,” the statement added.

The prime minister appreciated UAE’s continued support of Pakistan in promoting economic development, social welfare and humanitarian assistance.

“The People of Pakistan respect and acknowledge the contributions of the late Shiekh Zayed, who will always be remembered as a great friend and supporter of Pakistan,” the prime minister said during his meeting with the envoy.

Expressing satisfaction over the increasing trade volume between Pakistan and the UAE, the prime minister also invited companies from the Emirates to invest in Pakistan.

He assured the ambassador that Pakistan would actively participate in EXPO 2020 and conveyed his best wishes for the success of the event.

“The prime minister underlined that the caretaker government was committed to ensuring timely, free and fair elections which would further democratic development in Pakistan,” the statement read.

PM Nasir-ul-Mulk also conveyed his good wishes to the leadership of the UAE.

According to details, the interim premier has 14 properties to this name in Pakistan, including plots of one canal each in D-15 and G-14 in Islamabad, a two-canal plot worth Rs.11 million in Bahria Enclave and an apartment worth Rs.22 million in Diplomatic Enclave.

Besides, Mulk’s wife possesses properties worth $714,286 in Singapore and £272,850 in London, investment worth $722,590, jewellery worth Rs.3.1 million, furniture of Rs6.5 million, more than Rs.100 million in four different bank accounts and mortgage of $380,363 on properties.
