Petition filed in LHC seeking ban on talk shows related to Panama case: Lahore, A petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking a ban on talk shows related to Panama case. A petitioner Amjad Farooq filed this petition through advocate A.K. Dogar in LHC on Friday while taking the plea that according to law and the constitution no opinion can be expressed on the subjudicing case in the court. Expressing any opinion on a sub judice case is tantamount to contempt court or influencing court’s verdict.
The petitioner further stated that talk shows on Panama case are being conducted on daily basis for the past 8 months and anchor persons are playing the role of judges.
The petitioner put forward a plea to court that it should issue orders for ensuring implementation of PEMRA rules.
