The razzmatazz for the final bout of Pakistan Super League (PSL) second edition scheduled at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore has reached its peak one day before the show.

Quetta Gladiators sans international cricketers reached Lahore on Thursday, while Peshawar Zalmi’s owner Javed Afridi along with team players Muhammad Hafeez, Kamran Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Asghar, Hassan Ali and Imran Khan Junior landed on Saturday. The foreign players of the team will reach in the evening.

PSL Chairman Najam Sethi addressed spectators at Dubai International Cricket Stadium and thanked all cricket lovers for making the tournament a huge success. He later expressed his excietement on Twitter: “Lahore, here we come!” He chanted the slogan ‘Everybody, let’s go to Lahore!’ which has been trending on social media since then.

Awami Muslim League Chairman Sheikh Rasheed has decided to sit in public enclosure with fellow countrymen to watch the final match. He revealed that he has booked train and plane tickets and readied his car to make the trip to Lahore. He stated that regardless of which team wins, the ultimate victory is that of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, contrary to the news about Ali Zafar performing along with Ali Azmat at the PSL closing ceremony, Ali Zafar refuted all news through a Twitter post: “Unfortunately stuck with shooting schedule for the film. But lots of love and prayers.”

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan professed his wish to give PSL final tickets of the enclosure named after him for free. He said that the tickets for Imran Khan Enclosure are too expensive for cricket fans who are excited about return of international cricket to Pakistan.
