PTI won’t let Nawaz Sharif create undemocratic crisis in the country: Imran Khan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan stated on Friday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has no option except stepping down from his premier slot. While chairing a meeting of party leaders and his legal team to discuss the Supreme Court reserving its judgment in the Panama Papers case, Khan said that the party will not let Nawaz create any undemocratic crisis in the country.
PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jahanghir Tareen, Naeemul Haq, Arif Alvi, Shafqat Mahmood and Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rasheed attended the meeting held at Bani Gala.
PTI Chief and leadership were briefed by the legal advisers about the possible judgment of the SC in the high profile case. Imran Khan expressed hope that the nation will celebrate after the SC’s verdict. All party leaders in the meeting agreed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would not let PM Sharif create any undemocratic crisis in the country.
Possibilities of the national consensus against the offences of the Sharif family were reviewed in the meeting. It is vital to mention here that as the SC reserved its verdict in the Panama Gate case Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also summoned a meeting which was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers, advisers and the legal team. It was also decided during the meeting that the party will accept Supreme Court`s verdict even if it is unfavourable. It was also decided during the meeting that the party will utilise all legal and constitutional options available if the verdict goes against the Premier.
